Julia Feix said: ’I never believed there was ever a risk of me (or any other EU citizen living and working in the UK for that matter) being forced to leave the country as a result of some bizarre bargaining with the EU. It’s a ludicrous idea and hardly possible to implement.
’I remain optimistic that freedom of movement will not be compromised by the Brexit negotiations – in fact I strongly believe there will not even be a seat at the table without it. The UK needs to calm down, people have to stop resigning and start coming up with some great ideas of how to make it work.’ via the Architects’ Journal
Julia Feix said: ‘I don’t think the problem is one of bringing architecture closer to women, because there is an interest. It’s about making it more accessible for professional women who also want to have a family.’ via the Architects’ Journal

Feix & Merlin has submitted plans for the refurbishment of the Peacock Theatre in central London. The first time for half a century that the theatre has been worked on.
Our clients, the LSE & Sadler’s Wells both wanted to create a fresh new look and an improved sense of arrival. The proposals include new signage & lighting, new finishes to the doors and ironmongery. The decorative star motifs, currently present in the fascia as a relief, are to be re-created as a polished brass element and installed across the fascia. The existing signage to the front of the canopy is to be replaced with backlit fine brass lettering. A grid of LED eco filament bulbs is to be installed across the underside of the canopy to create more striking presence at street level. The existing timber doors and panelling are to be stained dark and the door furniture to be replaced with brass fittings.
