Commercial Office fit-out.
The brief was, put simply, to turn a 5,500sqft (500m2) East London warehouse floor into a creative industry office space with a new approach to the now omnipresent ‘industrial-style interior design’.
We found inspiration in one of our favourite artists, Ron Gilad, and used a series of metal space frames to create individual areas within the open plan office without the need of installing solid partitions.
The existing central meeting rooms block, as well as the vast library wall, were overclad with slatted screens and horizontally or vertically bifolding opening panels.
We designed the workstations and desks, as well as a set of moveable furniture pieces (from simple shelving units to print stations and wardrobes) that help divide the space but at the same time keep it flexible and adaptable to the company’s future expansion plans.
