Feix&Merlin completes first TRIBE hotel in Amsterdam for WIN Hotels and Accor.

‘Tribe Amsterdam City’, a 192 room hotel designed by Feix&Merlin, is located in Amsterdam Noord, a new district of Amsterdam known for its redeveloped wharf area, a thriving hub of culture and activity with restaurants, art galleries, and music events.

The design palette includes materials that play with perspective and distorted imagery, reeded mirror, fluted glass blocks, and translucent fabrics. Artwork plays a huge part in the overall interior aesthetic, with customised artwork on the walls and large format graphics embedded in the lobby floor

The entrance sequence features a dramatic staircase with a large curtain above concealing a mirrored ceiling. On the stairs looking up, you see a reflection of yourself captured within a photographic image on the floor.

The guest rooms feature customised portraits, distorted with a reeded effect, over the headboards and in the bathrooms, with different images in different rooms.
